My happy place

You know what’s wrong with you, Miss Whoever-you-are? You’re chicken, you’ve got no guts. You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say, “Okay, life’s a fact, people do fall in love, people do belong to each other, because that’s the only chance anybody’s got for real happiness.” You call yourself a free spirit, a “wild thing,” and you’re terrified somebody’s gonna stick you in a cage. Well baby, you’re already in that cage. You built it yourself. And it’s not bounded in the west by Tulip, Texas, or in the east by Somali-land. It’s wherever you go. Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself. 

Ce e fericirea? nu incerc sa filozofez, nu vreau sa dau noi definitii. Fericirea e un lucru relativ. Ceea ce pe unii ii face fericiti nu este un adevar general pentru toti. Ce ma face pe mine fericita - nu pot garanta ca e acelasi lucru pe care te face si pe tine fericit. Un cantec pe care l-am ascultat candva, zicea ca e cerul senin, cand te-ai hotarat sa alergi pe camp, cand frunzele cad, la un picnic in parc.

Ce ma face pe mine fericita? Cand sunt la mine in camera, si ma bucur de intimitatea mea, ma bucur de mine, de timpul petrecut cu mine insami, dupa multe zile in care am fost inconjurata de multa lume. Cand privesc la un film trist sau romantic, ma integrez in film si plang alaturi de personajul principal. Cand stau si citesc si devin parte din personaje, si iau din fiecare cate putin. Ma face fericita cand merg cu trenul, cand revad locuri familiare, nu pentru ca traiesc in trecut, ci pentru ca ma ajuta sa imi amintesc de persoanele pe care le-am indragit candva.

Ma face fericita, cand dupa o zi obositoare, ma strangi in brate si imi spui ca ma iubesti, fara sa fi facut ceva sau fara sa fi zis ceva. Atunci simt ca ma iubesti si ca ai merge si pe luna pentru mine. Ma face fericita cand te fac sa razi, cand am grija de tine si ma privesti cu recunostinta si cu drag.

Fericirea chiar sta in lucruri marunte, si de obicei fericirea asta se ofera cel mai din inima.

Cause I am dreamer. I believe in my dreams. And I, and only I can do something about it to see them come true. It is not your mom, it is not your friends, nor your boyfriend/girlfriend,  that can make them true, they can only support you to succeed. It is sweeter when you know there is somebody there for you, that cheers you up and stands beside you when you fail. And when you fail, they tell you to try again. Even if there isn’t anybody there for you, don’t stop believing in your dreams, cause dreams make your world a better place.And fight for them, don’t let yourself go. Try, fail, try again, until you succeded.
